The Chinese Continental team China Anta-Mentech is overhauling its roster for the 2027 season by signing several experienced international riders, CyclingUpToDate.com reported. The recruitment drive is led by Russian sprinter Gleb Syritsa and French sprinter Pierre Barbier. [1]

According to CyclingUpToDate.com, the team aims to increase its competitiveness on the Asian cycling calendar by adding proven stage-winning ability to its lineup. Syritsa previously spent several seasons within the Astana organization, where he advanced from a trainee to a WorldTour rider. [1]

The Astana team takes its name from Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan. The city lies on the banks of the Ishim River in northern Kazakhstan and was previously named Nur-Sultan before reverting to its current name in 2022. [2]

The addition of Syritsa gives the Chinese Continental squad a rider with high-level international experience as the team strengthens its positions for upcoming competition. [1]
