Police release details on fatal Oregon elementary school shooting
Authorities have named two victims and shared new details about a deadly shooting at an Oregon elementary school.

Police in Bend, Oregon, have released new details following a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School, as FTMQ World reported earlier. BBC News reported that police identified two of the four victims killed in the attack as five-year-old Rhoam Summer and 25-year-old teacher Meghan Lambert. Two other students, aged eight and 11, were also killed in the incident. [1][4]
BBC News reported that the 16-year-old suspect was a former student at the primary school who targeted a classroom for special educational needs. According to police, the suspect fired as many as 15 rounds inside the classroom before he was stopped. An armed father shot the suspect, who had approximately 44 additional rounds of shotgun ammunition on him at the time. [1]
Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz expressed gratitude to those who intervened during the attack. He stated on Friday that officials owe a debt of gratitude to the people who showed courage and prevented the tragedy from becoming worse. [1]
