Cambodia and Azerbaijan Sign Agreements to Strengthen Economic Ties

Cambodia and Azerbaijan signed three agreements on economic and diplomatic cooperation on October 12 in Baku. Cambodianess reported that Prime Minister Hun Manet met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to sign the pacts and pledge stronger relations. Khmer Times and Operativ Məlumat Mərkəzi also reported the signing of the three bilateral trade agreements and the exchange of official documents between the two nations. [1][3][6]

According to Cambodianess, Prime Minister Hun Manet visited Azerbaijan to attend the Seventh Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia. The conference took place in the capital city from October 11 to October 15. The signed agreements included a memorandum of understanding covering trade and economic cooperation. [1]

The two nations also pledged to expand political connections and multilateral cooperation, according to the Cambodian People's Party publication. Trend News Agency reported that Cambodia expects to launch joint investment projects with Azerbaijan starting in 2027. [4][5]
